Congratulations to the Class of 2019! They will graduate on Friday, May 24. Our graduates are headed all over the country to continue their post-KPA education, and we are praying that God blesses each one of them!
We want to congratulate our very own Headmaster, who is now DR. Squires! Dr. Squires successfully defended his dissertation earlier this month, graduating with his EdD from Liberty University. He was surprised with a special gift at a school-wide assembly last Friday. We are proud of you, Dr. Squires!
Grammar School News
First graders each got to choose an American hero to research. They spent the last few weeks learning all about their heroes, and on Monday they participated in the “American History Living Museum” where they each played the part of their hero and told the audience all about them. Great job, first grade!
Friday HomeEc students learned recipes for a perfect summer. Homemade bubble solution capped off a great semester.
Home Ec students also did a final project collecting items for recycling. They gathered 80 pounds of cardboard, 80 pounds of paper, and 3 lawn and leaf bags of plastic.
Mad Scientists K-2 learned about wood during enrichment classes. Activities included analyzing the properties of different types of wood, making paper, making plywood, and constructing bird houses.
Fifth graders enjoyed “Fifth Grade Fun Day” with Mrs. Rogers last week!
Upper School News
Congratulations to the House of Liddell for winning the 2018-2019 House Cup! Houses are awarded points in academics, athletics, participation, service, and spirit, and the house with the most points wins. Congratulations, Liddell!
