KPA participates in six-man football at both the junior high and high school levels. Practices begin at the beginning of August and games are played into November. Helmets, shoulder pads, and all other equipment are provided by the school. KPA coaches are all certified through TAPPS in specific training relating to the health and safety of football participants. Proper tackling methods are emphasized in order to protect the athletes against head and neck injuries, as well as other injuries.
While KPA has played football for only seven seasons, the Warrior football team has already established a strong tradition, reaching the state-semi-finals in 2013. Coach Brian Sepkowitz is an excellent teacher and motivator of young men, which can be observed by the godly character and athletic achievements of those he leads.
Home games are played at Wilson High School, just southeast of Lubbock. Practices are held at South Plains Church of Christ.
