Upper School News

Braxton Van Wettering finished up his academic competitions this year at the TAPPS academic state meet in Waco. He also competed at the Texas Tech Fearless champion UIL competition. He competed in number sense, mathematics and science. 

At the Fearless Champion meet, Braxton finished 2nd place in number sense, 1st place in mathematics, and 1st place in science. 

At the TAPPS state meet, Braxton finished 3rd place in number sense (top freshman), 2nd place in mathematics (top freshman), and had a solid performance in science as the top freshman. Way to go, Braxton!

Grammar School News

Friday Enrichment Drama closed out the semester with some wonderful performances. Third grade presented It Happened at Hull House, fourth grade presented The Seagar Children, and fifth grade presented Louis Pasteur - A Scientist for Humanity. Way to go WARRIORS! 

We are wrapping up our 3rd grade math career with our geometry unit. Students had to find the area and perimeter of their math snack creations for homework this week!

 Kindergarten Cowboy and Cowgirl Day!!

5th Grade Music students completed their Recorder Karate Challenges, and had fun celebrating their victory! I love these musicians and I am sending them all of my love and prayers as they move on to SOL. 

Upper School News

In 7th Grade Math the students had to build a castle and then find the volume and surface area of their castle.

One of KPA's graduates, Banner Scarborough, recently spoke at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor's campus revival service. His message is the focus of this episode. In addition to hearing an encouraging biblical message, this episode shows some of the skills cultivated at KPA in crafting and delivering a persuasive presentation.

Athletic News

The KPA boys track team participated in the TAPPS North Region meet in Arlington last Thursday. 

 

  • Hudson Sands won the 2A  pole vault with a personal best 11'0". 
  • Ryan Winn equaled his personal best in the high jump to place 2nd and bettered his time in the 110 Hurdles to place 2nd as well. 
  • Kalen Clark ran a personal best in the 800 to finish 4th.
  • Michael Jonas competed in the 200 placing 8th to round out his freshman year.

Hudson, Ryan and Kalen will represent KPA at the TAPPS State Track & Field meet this weekend in Waco. Go Warriors!

Grammar School News

 3rd grade has been reading about Japan, China and Korea in their Story of the World. We learned the history and some fun facts about chopsticks. Then we tested our fine motor skills while we practiced playing Mancala for Medieval Day!

 Second grade field trip to Alcove Farms!
