KPA is a non-profit independent school that requires generous financial contributions to support continued strong operations and growth, including scholarship assistance for families qualifying for tuition aid and discounts for faculty and staff. A strong Annual Fund is essential for a thriving private school to keep tuition growth at moderate levels, offer competitive faculty salaries & training, as well as purchase the necessary equipment to facilitate an engaging educational environment.

Chuck Walker Memorial Scholarship Fund
In an effort to honor Chuck Walker’s faithful service to his family, church, Lubbock business community, and Kingdom Preparatory Academy, the leadership of our school established a memorial scholarship in January 2018 to provide tuition assistance for deserving Kingdom Prep students. This funded scholarship program will help to ensure continued educational stability for families who have experienced unexpected and life-changing events or need partial financial support to make classical, Christian, collaborative education possible for their children.
Regarding the scholarship fund’s namesake, Chuck Walker was born in 1962 in Canyon, Texas. He graduated from Pampa High School and attended West Texas State University. Chuck worked as the Vice President of Marketing and Sales for FirstCare Health Plans for 32 years and was a member of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee, as well as Kingdom Prep’s Advisory Board. He was a loving husband, father, and a devout follower of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Chuck was kind and respectful towards everyone he encountered and certainly enjoyed his life to the fullest. He has been greatly missed by all who knew him.
Just as Chuck was a blessing to all those around him, we pray that this scholarship fund will be a source of enduring blessing for generations to come for those who desire a classical, Christian, collaborative education.
